Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings have been the two best-performing teams in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. Both teams have produced good results when it mattered the most this season.
Rightly so, they finished the league stage in the first and second positions of the IPL 2023 points table. Gujarat Titans were the first team to qualify for the playoffs this season. Having played 14 games, they have won 10 games and lost the remaining four games.

2. A new record awaits Rashid Khan
Rashid Khan will be looking forward to weaving the magic with the ball on the Chepauk wicket that assists spinners. The Afghanistan international could become the spinner with the joint-most wickets in a single IPL edition.
Currently, he has taken 14 wickets in IPL 2023 season and if he takes three more wickets, he would join Yuzvendra Chahal (27 wickets) to become the spinner with the joint-most wickets in a single season.
3. Shubman Gill has a chance to script history
Shubman Gill has been in red-hot form for Gujarat Titans this season. He is currently the leading run-scorer for GT with 680 runs at an average of 56.67. Gill scored back-to-back centuries against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
If he scores 20 more runs, then he will become only the second-ever Indian cricketer to score 700 runs in a single IPL season after Virat Kohli.
