In Group 2’s Super Six contest between Zimbabwe and South Africa, the formers won the contest by nine wickets. After winning the toss, South Africa U19 invited the Zimbabwe U19 side to bat first. The bowling attack of the African side dominated the innings and picked up all their wickets at a score of just 102 runs.

Zimbabwe lost their first three wickets at a score of just six runs in 2.5 overs and lost their fourth wicket when the total score of the side was 16 runs. Ronak Patel and Ryan Kamwemba tried to rebuild the innings and made a partnership of 53 runs in 11 overs.
South African bowlers did not give much time to the opponents’ batters to reconstruct the innings and picked up the wicket of the well-settled batter, Ronak Patel, in the 16th over of the innings.

Kwena Maphaka picks up a Five-Wicket Haul
Kwena Maphaka picked up a total of 5 wickets in the game at the expense of 34 runs in 10 overs with an economy rate of 3.40, including 1 maiden over. He dismissed the top-order batters of the opposing side and also picked up the wickets of the lower-order batter to help the side restrict the opponents to a total of just 102 runs in 29.2 overs.
Tristan Luus also took 3 wickets by giving 25 runs in 7.2 overs with an economy rate of 3.40 while Riley Norton picked up 1 wicket in 5 overs.
Lhuan-dre Pretorius’ Half-Century Leads Africa to a Magnificent Win
The opening batter and Wicket-keeper of the opposing side, Lhuan-dre Pretorius played a wonderful innings of 53 runs in just 39 deliveries with a strike rate of 135.89 including 9 fours and 1 maximum. Steve Stolk also contributed 37 runs in just 29 deliveries with a strike rate of 127.58 including 7 boundaries.
Anesu Kamuriwo picked up the only wicket of the African side and dismissed Steve Folk in the 11th over when the total score of the side was 86 runs.
South Africa U19 side defeated the opponents single-handedly and now the side will try their best to maintain the same performance in the upcoming contests of the tournament.
