Mayank Yadav, the star player of the Lucknow Supergiants, has been the revelation of the Indian Premier League addition in 2024 after 17 matches. Last week, he recorded the fastest delivery of the season 2024 of the IPL after he bowled a ball at 155.8 kmph in the match against the Punjab Kings. After the record broken by Gerald Coetzee barely lasted for 2 days, Mayank sound himself at the top of the chart once again with a speed of 156.7 against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Tuesday.
The world of cricket has been left in surprise by the raw speed of Mayank Yadav and his wicket-taking abilities, with most of the veterans and experts already calling for his selection in team India after the end of the 2024 IPL edition.
In the middle of the remarks on the 21-year-old cricket player, a reporter from Pakistan named Farid Khan on X said that the control of cricket in India is already preparing the fast bowler for the T20 World Cup with the bowling coach of Lucknow supergiants Mornel Morkel, who previously walked with the Pakistan cricket team during the 2023 ODI World Cup, preparing him for the tournament by showing him the videos of Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi, and Naseem Shah.
In a video poster on his social media account, he said, “Mayank Yadav is going to be part of the Indian cricket team for the t20 world cup. I can guarantee you this. You can even take a screenshot of my post because India is getting him ready and he is going to play against Pakistan. BCCI is already showing him the videos of Haris Rauf’s spell against Team India in the T20 World Cup last edition. He is also being shown videos of Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi as they are preparing him. The farmer bowling coach of Pakistan cricket team Morne Morkel is at LSG, and he is preparing Mayank Yadav.”

This weird claim by the reporter was trolled by a number of users on the social media platform. One of the users said, “Yes, I am from India, and I confirm that the BCCI is showing the video of Haris Rauf to Mayank Yadav, but the fact is that not to ball like this, otherwise players from Nepal and Zimbabwe will end their careers with going down the ground out of the ground shots.”
Whereas another user wrote, “BCCI is already showing him a video of Haris Rauf. Why? to show him how not to bowl? Lol,” and so on.
