It was a magical turnaround of affairs for the Gujarat Titans and it was the Afghan talisman who pulled the strings of destruction for them as Rashid Khan ran through the ranks of the Chennai Super Kings and claimed two of their finest batters to leave them reeling in agony. Sunrisers Hyderabad, the team that previously owned the magician would have a second thought about how things spanned out.
It was a precious display both with the bat and the ball from the former Afghan skipper as he claimed a couple of important scalps namely, Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali while returning magical figures with the bat where he took the pressure off Gujarat Titans straightaway, hammering an important knock that had a tempest-warning written all over it.

Tom Moody, former coach of SRH, who have extensively worked with Rashid Khan talked about how he has changed his batting over the years and it was an example for the others. In fact, he has smashed things around at will of late and particularly when he dons the jersey of Gujarat Titans, he turns into a beast of a kind with the bat.
Moody shed some light on his batting position, adding, “It is interesting because over the years, I’ve quite often had people say, ‘why does he bat at 7?’ This was when he was at Sunrisers. ‘Why don’t you bat him earlier?’ You had a few on social media saying he should be batting at 3!”
Tom Moody highlighted how things changed for the Afghan talisman
He further added, “The reality is, he is at his best when he’s in that situation where he is facing 10 or less balls. That’s when he’s at his greatest, that’s when he is a great threat. If he comes in the 10th over, that would be a totally different situation for him to unpack. He’s very dangerous from the 17th over onwards.”
Rashid was crucial for the Titans in the preceding season as he bagged 19 wickets in the preceding season at a magical economy rate of 6.6 runs per over.
