Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni are two forebearers of Indian cricket and the way they have been advancing Indian cricket beyond all possible hindrances over the years, it has been nothing short of absolutely marvellous.
In fact in IPL 2023, the two gave been sublime in their own singular fashion where Virat Kohli has been making his willow talk while MS Dhoni has been a towering presence with the gloves and the captain’s hat.
Here is what RCB has accomplished in IPL of late
RCB has always been boasting about a glistening unit but somehow they have struggled to get off the block and land their maiden trophy. They have always been blessed with a fine set of players but when it comes to IPL, things simply don’t work out for the Challengers.

Former Pakistani skipper, Wasim Akram took a sharp dig at RCB, adding that they need a change in their thinking. Somehow the way they have been approaching the knock-outs, it has been absolutely bizarre. This is where it is all going south for the Challengers.
Here is what Wasim Akram had to say about MS Dhoni
The erstwhile Pakistani pacer mentioned that there are a lot of changes that is also needed in the thinktank of RCB. Albeit Mike Hesson has been doing a phenomenal job as the team has already qualified for three consecutive play-offs and is the only IPL team to do so in the history of the tournament, Akram believes that the championship material is in the hut but what is lacking is the belief and the understanding of what things should be and how they should be approaching the knock-outs or the big games.
Akram said, “RCB would have won 3 IPL trophies by now if MS Dhoni was their captain. They have not won a single trophy until now. They have so much support. Also, they have the world’s top modern-era player Virat, but unfortunately they have not won. If Dhoni was in RCB, he would have helped them win the title.”
