MI New York (MINY) batsman Tim David plays a brilliant role in helping his team defeat Texas Super Kings in the second Qualifier of the Major League Cricket on Friday, July 28, 2023. MINY (MI New York) has led to the finals and will take on the Seattle Orcas in the summit clash on Sunday. In this match held at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, TSK ( Texas Super Kings) batted first after losing the toss. They were able to score 158 runs in 20 overs on the basis of useful innings, Devon Conway made 38 runs and Milind Kumar made 37 runs. Trent Boult took four wickets for MINY’s.
In reply, MINYs scored 106/3 in 15 overs as Dewald Brewis made 24 runs in 25 balls and David made 15 runs from 15 balls. Texas Super Kings were ahead at that point and introduced leg spinner Mohammad Mohsin in the 16th over to create more trouble for David.

We Were Trying to Score, but We Just Could Not Get It: Tim David on Initial Struggles in Chase vs TSK
After the conclusion of the match, Tim David reflected on the win, saying:
“Things got away from us a little bit in the chase today. It then came down to taking a bit of a chance and fortunately, it came off today. We were trying to score, but we just could not get it. Glad that when we took our chances and backed ourselves and it eventually paid off.
“Success would be winning the trophy. Have come close to winning it a couple of times in the IPL. It is a different tournament here, but the franchise is the same. Everyone is excited right now because we have done it as a team.
