Aakash Chopra Reveals Why Virat Kohli Is Not Part Of The Fav 4 Now

Aakash Chopra Reveals Why Virat Kohli Is Not Part Of The Fav 4 Now: Aakash Chopra, the well-known cricket commentator, has recently taken note of Virat Kohli’s diminished Test performance. In particular, he drew attention to the notable decline in Kohli’s numbers over recent years. At the same time, Chopra also highlighted David Warner’s declining Test form. Both these players, who were once considered top tier, seem to have lost their sheen.

At one point, Kohli, alongside Joe Root, Steve Smith, and Kane Williamson, constituted cricket’s ‘Fab Four’. The name even included David Warner at times. This was a period spanning 2014 to 2019, a time when these players dominated Test cricket. However, Chopra stated recently on his YouTube channel, “We don’t have a ‘Fab Four’ now, only a ‘Fab Three’.”

Kohli’s statistics, according to Chopra, have drastically decreased. He said, “Virat Kohli’s numbers have plummeted. He has played 25 matches – 1277 runs, which does not suit him.” With an average of 29.69 and only one century to his name, Kohli’s performance has undoubtedly dipped. This single century was scored against Australia on the Ahmedabad ground.

Chopra also shed light on Warner’s performance, “David Warner – 23 matches, 1250 runs, an average of 32.89.” Despite having scored two centuries, including a big one, Warner’s overall Test form has diminished.

The former cricketer and current analyst, Chopra, expressed his belief that Warner and Kohli are no longer part of the ‘Fab Four’ considering their current performances. This comment comes as a stark reminder of the fluctuating nature of cricket and the challenges that even the greatest players face in maintaining their performance consistently. It is indeed a daunting task, given the pressures of international cricket and the expectations that come with such status.

However, it’s worth noting that form is temporary, while class remains permanent. Both Kohli and Warner have proven their mettle in the past and have exhibited world-class cricketing abilities. Despite recent struggles, it would be unwise to write off these champions. With their experience and skill, a return to form might be just around the corner.

In conclusion, cricket, much like any other sport, sees players go through ups and downs. While the recent performances of Kohli and Warner might be a cause of concern for their fans, it’s important to remember their past achievements. Their contribution to the game has been immense, and they’ve set standards that upcoming cricketers strive to achieve. Given their proven track records, the cricketing world is eagerly awaiting their return to form.
