Team India head coach Rahul Dravid said that he is very happy with the way Yashasvi Jaiswal played his game to the condition during his first test inning against West Indies in Dominica. He confesses that youngsters like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill will be tested as they play more games he said it will be a challenge. The 21-year-old Jaiswal made a memorable test debut against West Indies in Dominica and made 171 runs in 387 balls as India won the match by 141 runs. As far as Shubhman Gill is concerned, he has been exceptional since last year, especially in test matches.
At a press conference ahead of the second test match against West Indies in the port of Spain, Dravid praised Jaiswal for displaying a versatile batting show in his first test cricket match.
“I was very pleased to see that he was willing to play an attacking game when required, but also knuckle down and be defensive and work hard for his runs when required. As a coach, nothing pleases you more than that,” the head coach said.
