Concerns about the form of former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma in T20 cricket remained on Monday despite the 7-wicket victory of the team against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede stadium. The poor run of form of Rohit Sharma since smashing that century against Chennai Super Kings continued, leaving the fans worried about the India cricket team going to start their campaign for T20 WC in less than a month. And it looks like the unforgettable run has left Rohit Sharma shattered, as the former captain of the Mumbai Indians was seen quite sad in the dressing room after his dismissal for only four runs.
Rohit Sharma was removed from the captaincy of the Mumbai Indians because of his diminishing returns with the bat in T20 cricket, as he has scored only 297 runs in the first 7 innings of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League, which included a 49-run knock against the Delhi Capitals and an unbeaten 105 against the Chennai Super Kings both at home. However, in his next five matches, he managed to score only 34 runs, which included four single-digit scores.
Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mumbai Rohit Sharma was dismissed by a length delivery from the captain of the opposition cricket team, Pat Cummins. He was looking to play it off his hips and flick it over square, but in a hurry into the shot, he ended up losing his wicket. The wicketkeeper of SRH Heinrich Klaasen easily grabbed it to complete the dismissal.
Rohit was very unhappy at his dismissal for yet another low score as he walked back to the pavilion with his head down. Later on, the cameras caught him almost teary-eyed in the dressing room of the Mumbai Indians.

Fans, while reacting to the video clip, said, “I can’t see Rohit Sharma like this with a broken heart emoji. Hopefully he changes his mind set and comes back stronger.” Another fan wrote, “If you are happy when someone cries, then humanity is dead inside you. Rohit Sharma will make a comeback once again, and then you will not find a place to hide your shameless face.”
Heading into the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, former cricketer Aakash Chopra reckoned that Rohit Sharma lost his rhythm after making a strong start to the season, which has left him quite concerned as the T20 World Cup is around the corner.
