CSK to Face RCB in the Opening Clash
Initially, it was expected that the finalists of the last season would face each other in the first game of the tournament, but as per the schedule, the Chennai Super Kings will play against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 22, 2024, in Chennai. The performance of CSK was very impressive in the last season, as they defeated the Gujarat Titans in the final to lift the IPL trophy for the fifth time.

The result of the final of the last season was decided on the last delivery of the game as Jadeja’s brilliant batting pulled up the game in the favour of CSK. On the other side, the form of RCB was not that satisfying, as they could secure victories in only 7 matches out of the total of 14 and were placed in the 6th spot in the points table.
This time the side will try their best to start their campaign with a new enthusiasm to maintain a winning streak in the upcoming league stage matches to clear their path for the knockouts.
The Entire Schedule will be Released Later
Due to the Lok Sabha elections, the entire schedule of the tournament has yet to be released. The date sheet for the matches from March 22 to April 7 has been released by the BCCI. The final of the tournament is expected to be played on May 26, 2024, as the T20 World Cup 2024 is set to commence on the 2nd of June.
