Mohammed Siraj is going to be a huge weapon for the Royal Challengers Bangalore as he has already been firing on all cylinders and has been the only bowler to make things work wherein other world-renowned bowlers have been whacked, hammered and ripped apart. In the last three games, he has managed to claim 5 wickets and concede at an economy rate of 7 runs per over.
However, in an unfortunate development, things went horribly shocking for the ace Indian fast bowler as he revealed that he was approached unlawfully for inside information by a man who was later nabbed by the police on the account of trying to access unlawful information.
Here is what the source for BCCI had to say
Reporting to BCCI’s anti-corruption unit, Mohammed Siraj said that an unknown man wanted news about what unfurls in the RCB team unit. Siraj was in no mood to entertain the request and immediately turned down the approach.

However, as per private discussions, the sources that were being revealed said that it wasn’t a bookie who got involved in this but a bus driver who had heavy losses trying to bet. He simply wanted some information about certain line-up changes.
This is the statement that was released by the BCCI incumbent
A senior BCCI source said, “It wasn’t a bookie who approached Siraj. He is a driver from Hyderabad who is addicted to betting on India matches. He had approached Siraj via WhatsApp after losing a lot of money on India games. Siraj reported the approach immediately. The law enforcement (Andhra Police) authorities had nabbed the person.”
Mohammed Siraj is one of the rising names in the Indian international circuit and as things stand he will be a crucial figure in RCB’s latest campaign in the IPL and India’s upcoming run in the WTC cycle followed by the upcoming World Cup where Siraj will be an important element of India’s bowling unit.
