After the youngsters of the Indian cricket team stepped up in the absence of the seniors in the 5-match test series against England, now team India has to worry less about who is next after Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. There has been another major positive feedback for the home team that has been less talked about. It was clearly seen through the course of the last three matches against England that India has another batting potential down the order in the form of Kuldeep Yadav, who has strengthened the tail of the team. But despite the amazing performance, which included a 76-run series-winning stand in Ranchi alongside Dhruv, the head coach of the Indian Cricket Team, Rahul Dravid, was left laughing at the query of a potential batting promotion for Kuldeep in the test playing 11 after captain Rohit Sharma took the credit for the batting heroics.
In the Ranchi test match, as team India looked to reduce the first innings deficit of 134 runs after their top order crumbled, jurel made a courageous attempt against the spinners of England with his amazing knock of 90 runs, which helped the team decrease the gap to only 46. Therefore, he helped the team in clinching an A5 wicket victory over England; however, this heroic act of Jurel would not have been possible without Kuldeep Yadav at the other end of the trees with his 131 ball 28.

While speaking to the Jio cinema after the victory at the HPCA stadium, captain Rohit Sharma revealed how his insistence on working on his batting held Kuldeep Yadav put on that brave show against England.
Rohit said that we knew Kuldeep had something about him when he bowled. Even in the last couple of years, Kuldeep just came a long way after he was injured, and the way he made his comeback in the white ball cricket and now the same thing you are getting to see in the red ball simply shows what he can do. He knows what he needs to do. He has gone back to work with his coaches and worked here as well.”
Rohit further said that I have seen him bowling every time, putting on stumps there and just getting that accuracy right and so on.”
When asked by the presenter whether Kuldeep asked for a promotion after his amazing batting performance, Rohit Sharma laughed it off, reminding the presence of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, who have 9 test centuries between themselves.
Head coach Rahul Dravid, who was also part of the discussion, interrupted Rohit Sharma to say he needs to get three test centuries before he can ask for a promotion and burst into laughter.
