The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is just less than two days away from going all guns blazing and it is also the first time that the tournament is going to be held entirely in India. The New Zealand national cricket team will take on the England national cricket team in the tournament opener on October 5 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Before that, the participating teams have been playing warm-up games as an ideal preparation for the mega tournament.
Case in point, Indian cricketer, Shikhar Dhawan who is currently out of the national setup hilariously trolled Pakistan’s fielding effort during the warm-up game against Australia at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Pakistan fielders failed to have proper communication between themselves as they committed a huge blunder on the field.

The video clip of the two Pakistani players failing to stop the ball on the field garnered the attention of the cricket fraternity. Shikhar Dhawan couldn’t control his emotions as he savagely trolled Pakistani’s fielding on social media. The experienced cricketer took to his X handle and then posted the video clip along with the caption, “Pakistan & fielding never-ending love story #PakistanFielding #PakCricket.”

The cricket fraternity is quite aware of the fact that Pakistani players have committed silly and serious blunders on the field in the past. The recent fielding error featuring Mohammad Wasim Jr and Mohammad Nawaz left the cricket universe in splits. Fielding plays an important part in the team’s success rate and it is imperative to remain alert on the field to help the team.
Pakistan cricket team will embark on their World Cup 2023 campaign on October 6, Friday as they will play against the Netherlands at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. The last time Pakistan won the maiden ODI World Cup was back in the 1992 World Cup final when they beat England to clinch the major honour.
