The third T20I between Team India and the Black Caps ended in a tie as rain played spoilsport in the passage of play. In fact, both teams’ score was level based on DLS method and as a result, the game ended in a tie.
This literally means that India won the series by 1-0. Earlier, the first T20I was washed out due to showers. The Men in Blue won the second game by 65 runs at Bay Oval and drew first blood in the T20I series.
IPL franchises request BCCI for change in IPL 2023 mini-auction date
In the latest development, the IPL franchises have requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India for change in the IPL 2023 mini-auction date as per the recent reports.
The upcoming mini-IPL auction will kick off on December 23 in Kochi. The IPL teams are reportedly planning to ask the BCCI to reschedule the auction date so that all their staff could mark their presence. However, the BCCI didn’t issue any official statement regarding the same.
Australia whitewash England by winning the ODI series by 3-0
Pat Cummins and Co got the better of England cricket team in the third and final ODI at Melbourne Cricket Ground by 221 runs. As a result, they inflicted a 3-0 whitewash on the Three Lions in the One-Day International series.
Earlier, Australia clinched the ODI opener by six wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the series. After that, they beat England by 72 runs to win the series by 2-0. Australia won the third ODI by a massive margin to end the series on a grand note.
Nicholas Pooran steps down as West Indies’ T20I and ODI captain
In the latest development, Nicholas Pooran resigned from the white-ball captaincy post at West Indies. He has made up his mind to step down as the T20I and ODI skipper. He was named the full-time white-captain for West Indies in 2022. However, West Indies didn’t gain much success as they failed miserably in the T20 World Cup 2022.
