According to India Today, Sushanta expressed the view that Tripura’s state tourism requires significant promotion and effective branding in order to gain global recognition. In order to achieve this, they believe that a renowned brand ambassador with worldwide recognition is essential. Sushanta suggested that there is no better candidate for this role than our beloved Dada Sourav Ganguly, the former captain of the Indian cricket team. They believe that Sourav Ganguly’s popularity and stature make him an ideal choice to promote Tripura’s tourism on an international scale.
During the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League, Ganguly served as the Director of Cricket for the Delhi Capitals. Having finished the league phase with 10 points in 14 matches, the club became the first in the lucrative T20 league to be eliminated from the battle for the playoffs, capping off what was perhaps one of their poorest seasons ever. The club’s leadership will go back to the drawing board in the hopes of coming up with new strategies for the next auction and a more successful 2024 season.
