Virat Kohli, of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), was seen bowling to all-star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and captain Faf du Plessis during their net sessions before their vital match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). On Thursday, May 18, these two teams will face off at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Before the big game, the Bengaluru franchise’s players were spotted working hard in the nets. Bowling to captain Faf and prolific batsman Maxwell, Kohli switched gears midway through the sessions. The franchise’s official Twitter account posted a thrilling video of the three working out together.
Notably, the three batters are having a great season, as they are the team’s top three run scorers in the current IPL 2023 season. Faf, the team’s captain, has scored 631 runs (including 7 half-centuries) in 12 games, earning him the IPL Orange Cap.

Maxwell, on the other hand, has scored 384 runs in 12 games, including five half-centuries, while looking like a dangerous batting machine on many occasions. In spite of criticism of his unconventional batting style, Kohli has scored 438 runs in 12 games, including six fifty-plus scores, at an average of 39.82.
Meanwhile, Faf du Plessis and company have six victories and as many defeats to sit sixth on the IPL points table with a net run rate of 0.166. The Red and Gold will need to win their next two games in the group stage by wide margins to ensure a spot in the postseason.
The match against Hyderabad will be the team’s last on the road before returning home to face the reigning champions, the Gujarat Titans, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The Titans, led by Hardik Pandya, made history by being the first team to secure a spot in the playoffs through the Qualifier 1 route.
