Ajit Chandila's Lifetime Ban from The IPL Has Been Reduced to 7 Years

Ajit Chandila, a former spinner for the Rajasthan Royals (RR), was charged with spot-fixing together with S Sreesanth and Ankeet Chavan.

Vineet Saran, the BCCI's ombudsman, reduced Chandila's lifetime suspension to seven years. 

A spot-fixing controversy during the 2013 Indian Premier League is said to have implicated the trio (IPL).

A right-arm off-spinner who made his IPL debut in 2012 and claimed a hat-trick in only his second game, Chandila had a promising start to his career.

On May 9, 2013, he played in his final game against the Punjab franchise. With 11 wickets in 12 games and an economy of 6.21, he finished his IPL career.
