Brad Hogg on India withdrawing KL Rahul from playing XI

Former Australian spinner Brad Hogg feels that India made the correct call by withdrawing out-of-form opener KL Rahul from their playing Eleven for the third Test of the current series against Australia.

He believed that it gave the hosts the opportunity to invite Shubman Gill at the appropriate time.

On March 8 during a live stream on his YouTube channel, Hogg said these things.

"In the most recent Test match, India got go of KL Rahul, which I believe was a positive thing. There was a chance to bring Shubman Gill in, and I thought it was a fantastic circumstance."The man, 52, said:

Rahul's form came under scrutiny after a spate of subpar red-ball cricket outings.

In the Border-Gavaskar Cup, the right-handed batsman managed just 38 runs over three innings at a pitiful average of 12.66.

Gill, who took Rahul's spot in the lineup for the third Test, too had a lackluster performance, finishing with scores of 21 and 5.
