Dilip Vengsarkar criticizes the Indore pitch for 3rd IND vs AUS Test

Retired cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar recently criticized the pitch at Indore, stating that such surfaces "make a mockery of Test cricket."

The Holkar Cricket Stadium grass that was prepared for the third Test between India and Australia has been criticized by all parties, and Vengsarkar is the most recent to join the chorus.

Five wickets fell in the first hour of Day 1, all to spinners, as the ground went square from the very first delivery.

Altogether, 14 wickets fell on the day, and all of them were taken by spinners.

Rohit Sharma, who was dismissed in the sixth over of the contest, experienced an 8.3-degree turn.

Also dismissed were Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Ravindra Jadeja by deliveries with 5.9, 6.8, and 5.8 degrees of turn, respectively.

The combination of the turn and the inconsistent bounce made life for the hitters incredibly tough.
