India Ready To Bid For 2036 Olympics Says Sports Minister Anurag Thakur

Anurag Thakur, the sports minister, told The Times of India in an interview that India might enter the race to host the 2036 Olympic Games

Thakur added that Gujarat may serve as the host state for the Games if India receives approval from the International

Olympic Council and that the government was prepared to support the Indian Olympic Association in the event of a bid

The Asian Games have twice, and the Commonwealth Games once, been held in India

If India can successfully hold the G20 Presidency in such a large-scale manner

I am confident that the government would be able to contribute to hosting the Olympics in the nation with the IOA

We are all aware that the spots are reserved through 2032

However, Thakur told The Times of India, "We have hopes for the future, and I am confident that India will thoroughly prepare and submit a bid for the Olympics
