In the last session of Day 2 of the ongoing second Test against Australia on Saturday, senior Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin bowled a lot of full-length deliveries,
according to Dinesh Karthik, who thinks this was a mistake.
In his opinion, Ashwin would be disappointed in his own performance.
On Day 3, Karthik advised the seasoned spinner to think about adjusting his lengths.
The keeper-batter noted that Travis Head was able to effectively counter the off-spinner,
whereas Ashwin would have backed himself to defeat Head. Karthik remarked in a Cricbuzz interview:
Ravichandran Ashwin would probably be extremely unhappy with the manner he bowled this evening, in my opinion.
I say this because of how full his dish was. I believe he had the notion that Travis Head may be freed at some point. But Head started off with all guns blazing in many respects.
