In the WPL 2023 match against Mumbai Indians (MI), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) head coach Ben Sawyer acknowledged
that the bowlers were unable to carry out their strategies and sprayed the ball everywhere.
On Monday, March 6, at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, MI defeated RCB by nine wickets, handing them their second loss of the campaign.
Mumbai easily defeated him in 14.2 overs as they chased down a target of 156, while Bangalore had no effect whatsoever on the game.
At the news conference following the game, Sawyer discussed Bangalore's difficulties handling the ball. The man said:
We just did not execute with the ball. I saw the pitch map; we sprayed them all over the place.
We realize it, so we just get back to work and figure out what we need to improve on.
