Steve Smith, a prominent Australian batter, has admitted that COVID-19 was his team for Australia's last T20 World Cup 2022 group match against Afghanistan in Adelaide.
The right-handed hitter made the discovery while discussing a change in his approach that has enabled him to score a lot of points in various forms.
Beginning with the ODI series against England in November when he said
"I'm back baby" during his 78-ball 80 in the first ODI, the previous three months have been amazing for the 33-year-old.
Speaking after receiving his fourth Allan Border Medal, Smith reflected on his greatest performance against India in the summer of 2015 and
stated he has always worked to regain that touch. Prior to the T20 World Cup match against Afghanistan,
the right-hander appeared to have made a breakthrough, but COVID-19 halted his development.
