Real Madrid superstar Karim Benzema, the only player on this list who is currently playing in La Liga, is the latest person to be added to his exclusive list. 

 On 22 January, the Frenchman scored his 228th goal in his 425th La Liga game, leading the Whites to a 2-0 win against Athletic Bilbao.

Hugo Sanchez, perhaps the greatest Mexican footballer of all time, played in the Spanish top division for Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, and Rayo Vallecano, scoring 234 goals in 347 appearances.

Telmo Zarra, one of the most effective attackers in La Liga history, was with Athletic Bilbao from 1940 until 1955.

Zarra was a force of nature during his career, scoring 254 goals in only 277 games.

Cristiano Ronaldo, a former Al Nassr player, had a brilliant season with Real Madrid in La Liga. 

Between 2009 and 2018, the Portuguese superstar scored 311 goals in 292 league appearances, averaging 1.06 goals per game.

Lionel Messi, the top goalscorer and assist provider in La Liga history, scored 474 goals

and gave 216 assists in 520 appearances between the 2004-05 and 2020-21 seasons for Barcelona.
