Usman Khawaja was overjoyed following his amazing knock in Ahmedabad.

After a long 180 against India in the current fourth Test in Ahmedabad, the Australian opener Usman Khawaja was at a loss for words.

Yet, the seasoned batter thinks that the trip leading up to this hit has been extraordinarily remarkable.

In the fourth Test against Ahmedabad, the 36-year-old batted for nearly 10 hours and faced 422 balls to produce a stubborn 180. 

The opener recorded his first three-figure Test total on Indian soil on day one, 

but Axar Patel dismissed him with the first ball after Tea on day two, 15 runs short of his greatest Test tally.

He wrote on his official Twitter account:

It is difficult to describe the sentiments and emotions involved with athletics. I would never in a million years swap my experience, but the journey is what made this so amazing.
