FIFA president World Cup to feature 32 teams in 2025

Gianni Infantino, the president of FIFA, said on Friday that the Club World Cup will start out with 32 teams in 2025

The event, which has seven teams today, would be staged every four years, according to him

would boost revenue for the international sports organisation

The Club World Cup is currently being contested by the top clubs from each continental tournament and the home nation's national champion

In his statement, he noted that the new club World Cup format in 2025

was not included in the $11 billion in revenue that FIFA anticipated for the four-year period 2022-2026

Every four years, a 32-team club World Cup will be staged. And the inaugural event will take place in the 2025 summer

According to Infantino, it will take place during the Confederations Cup
