Zimbabwe has qualified for the Super 12s thanks to Chatara, Ervine, and Raza

Prior to participating in this Twenty20 World Cup, Zimbabwe had not competed in a major ICC competition for the previous six years; yet, they made a statement that they were a side on the return path when they advanced into the Super 12s.

Tendai Chatara and Sikandar Raza also made their experience pay with crucial contributions, while Craig Ervine led with the bat and in the field as he anchored the Zimbabwean chase after controlling his bowlers with precise perfection to hold Scotland to a manageable total.

After 55 tries, this was just Zimbabwe's 11th victory in a Twenty20 International when chasing the target.
