India’s experienced wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik recently hosted a question-and-answer session on his X handle (formerly known as Twitter). He said he had a bit of time at the airport and didn’t want to miss the opportunity to interact with his fans and followers. Meanwhile, the social media users didn’t keep calm as they quickly chipped in with a truckload of interesting questions to the veteran cricketer.
Most of the questions came from the highly-anticipated ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 since the tournament is just around the corner. New Zealand will play against England in the tournament opener at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5 whereas the finals of the tournament will be played on November 19 at the same venue. The World Cup is expected to have plenty of exciting things in store for cricket fans.

Dinesh Karthik names two contenders for the Player of the Series
Meanwhile, one of the fans asked Dinesh Karthik who will win the Player of the Series for the World Cup 2023 tournament. “According to you who will be your player of the series World Cup 2023”. The question caught the attention of the senior cricketer and he came up with two interesting names.

Dinesh Karthik replied, “Hardik Pandya and Glenn Maxwell”. It is no secret that both of them possess all-round qualities as they are certain to deliver the goods with the bat and ball. Team India recently played against Australia in the three-match ODI series wherein the Men in Blue won the first two ODIs and the series.
Australia won the third ODI and evaded a whitewash at the hands of India. Meanwhile, India’s series win over the Aussies must have given them optimism and confidence heading into the World Cup tournament. India will begin their World Cup campaign against Australia on October 8 in Chennai.
