One of the most dangerous bowlers is the Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami. With either the red or white ball, Shami has shown to be a lethal wicket-taker. Shami once was through a really challenging period in her life and career. But since the year 2018, he’s been a whole new animal.
Indian cricket has improved greatly under the leadership of former captain Virat Kohli. As a leader, he has consistently shown support to his fast bowlers. Shami is a crucial member of India’s Test squad and has a close relationship with India’s captain, Virat Kohli.
In 2020, while the country was under lockdown, Instagram Live became a phenomenon. While training alongside Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, Shami said that he gets along better with former Indian skipper Virat Kohli than with current captain Rohit Sharma. Prior to this, Kohli led the team, and his influence on Shami’s transformation was significant.

Since Shami doesn’t feel he has anything in common with Sharma, he avoids phone calls between them. But he can talk to Kohli on the phone whenever he likes and they often laugh around together. Even outside the realm of cricket, Shami claims he and Kohli can talk about everything.
Shami and Sharma both had their Test debuts in the same 2013 match against the West Indies, which is an interesting coincidence. Sharma scored 177 runs, which was fantastic, but Shami took nine wickets, including a five-wicket haul, in that game. In recent years, Shami has also improved as a bowler in white-ball forms. Together with spinner Rashid Khan, he has taken the most wickets (23 so far in IPL 2023).
The Gujarat Titans, for which Shami plays, have also secured a top-two position and a playoff berth. With an economy of 7.54 and a strike rate of 13.30, he has taken 23 wickets thus far.
