Even before WPL started there is some serious controversy that has already rocked the tables as Gujarat Giants announced that Deandra Dottin was going to be replaced by Kim Garth after she has suffered an injury.
In response to Gujarat’s official post, Deandra has mentioned that she is absolutely fit and fine and she is still to understand what exactly is her injury as she has been omitted from the T20 squad of the Giants.
Dottin was sent a few recovery texts and she was stunned at the same. She responded by saying, “I really appreciate all the messages but truth be told I’m recovering from nothing but the Holy Ghost anointing thank you #GodIsGood #GodIsInControl.”
Australia’s Kim Garth was announced as the replacement for Dottin and the Australian remained unsold during the WPL auction in the previous month. Garth was a part of the Australian side that lifted the T20 World Cup. Even albeit all she was a part of, were just 2 games.
Gujarat Giants is currently in action for the WPL opener where their bowlers were taken for a toss and taken for the ride handsomely, thanks to a seraphic knock from Harmanpreet Kaur who smashed 65 off just 30 balls.
