Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur is referred to as “Jemimah.”In the last match, India won over Bangladesh in the 2nd ODI in Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium Dhaka by 108 runs on Wednesday, July 19. The presenter had to be impressed to refer to the form. India performed well in last second ODI to level three match series 1-1. Choose to bat after losing the toss, India made 228/8 in 50 overs, Jemimah Rodrigues made 86 runs in 78 balls while Harmanpreet Kaur made 52 runs in 88 balls. Jemimah Rodrigues also took 4/3 with the ball, as Bangladesh were bundled out for 120 runs in 35 overs.
A video of the last match is going viral on social media in which an Indian skipper says,
“Thank you very much, Jemimah. Congratulations.”
The Indian women cricketer quickly corrects him and replies:
Harmanpreet Kaur, thank you.”

While Harmanpreet Kaur played an essential role in India’s victory in the 2nd ODI, Jemimah gave a standout performance with an all-round effort. Jemimah became the first Indian women cricketer to score a half-century and take four wickets in a single ODI match.
Jemimah said after being named player of the match for the win in the match;
“One thing we spoke about is how we get over the loss quickly because we still have two more games to win the series. We can still make a comeback. And I think I loved what Nooshin di (head coach) told us that you know a champion team is not a team who never fails or never or never loses, a champion team is a team who are down and out and get back up from that and bounce back.
The third and last ODI of the series will be played in Dhaka on Saturday, July 22.
