After being banned for two years, CSK’s return to the IPL in 2018 was an emotional one. Qualifier 1 took place at the Wankhede Stadium. After a stellar performance in the league stage, they faced Sunrisers Hyderabad. The Super Kings were chasing a 140-run mark and were down to their last three players at one point.
Dhoni batted fifth and was having trouble in the middle. He got out for 9 (17) as he attempted a cover drive against Khan’s bowling. Dhoni was frustrated with himself for picking that shot. Hussey misjudged Dhoni and felt he wouldn’t utter a word.
