Team India has a rich cricketing history as far as the Test format of the game is concerned. They are one of the top cricketing nations in the world and they have been producing winning results quite consistently. India has always been a nation that has produced quality cricketers.

1. England
Team India has played a record 131 Tests against the England national cricket team, more than any other opponent in the history of Test cricket. India’s first Test appearance was also against England in 1932.
Since then, both teams have locked horns with each other on plenty of occasions. England holds the upper hand against India in terms of the overall head-to-head as they won 50 Tests whereas India won 31 Tests.
The rest of the 50 games ended in a draw. India has won 22 games at home and 9 games in England. On the other hand, England has won 36 games at home and 14 games in India.

2. Australia
Team India has locked horns with Australia on 107 occasions in the history of Test cricket. Both the powerhouses went toe-to-toe with each other and produced magnificent performances, the game has ever seen.
Both teams pushed each other beyond the limits and in the process, it gave birth to legends as well. Out of these 107 meetings, Team India has won 32 games whereas Australia emerged as the victorious side on 45 occasions.
On the other hand, the rest of the 29 matches ended with a draw whereas the other match ended in a tie. India has won 23 home games and 9 away games whereas Australia won 30 home games and 14 away games.
