The upcoming edition of the Asia Cup 2023 tournament is less than nine days away from going all guns blazing and the teams are sincerely prepping for the marquee tournament. Team India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Nepal are the six teams that will be taking part in the upcoming tourney.
Among the teams, Team India are the most successful team in the history of the Asia Cup as they have won the title on seven occasions, more than any other team. Sri Lanka are the second-most successful team in Asia Cup as they have won six titles so far. The Lankans made it all the way to the finals of the competition in the last season.
Notably, they defeated Pakistan in the final to win the sixth title. On the other hand, Pakistan are the third-most successful team in the competition with two Asia Cup titles. Case in point, in the history of the Asia Cup (ODI), only three teams have won the game by 10 wickets and let’s learn about it below.
1. India
Team India were the first team to win the game by 10 wickets in Asia Cup history (ODI). The Men in Blue defeated Sri Lanka at Sharjah in 1984. Sri Lanka were bowled out for a mere 96. In response, India chased down the target without losing a wicket in 21.4 overs and recorded their biggest win over Sri Lanka in Asia Cup.

2. Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka follow next on the list as they defeated the Bangladesh cricket team by 10 wickets in 2004 in Colombo. Bangladesh set up a target of 191 against Sri Lanka. In response, the Sri Lankans chased down the target without any fuss in 33.3 overs, registering their biggest win over the Tigers in Asia Cup.
3. Pakistan
Pakistan are one of the three teams that defeated an opponent by 10 wickets in Asia Cup history. The Green Shirts chased down the target of 116 in 19.4 overs in Karachi and aced the run-chase comprehensively.
