England national cricket team have long been criticised for their inability to pull off tactical masterclass in the ICC World Cup tournament. Nevertheless, they ensured to let their performances do all the talking in the 2019 edition of the World Cup, in which they made it all the way to the finals of the competition.

1. 202 vs India
England’s biggest-ever win in terms of runs came against India in the 1975 World Cup at the Lord’s. Batting first, England posted a huge total of 334/4 in 60 overs, courtesy of Dennis Amiss’ 137 (18 fours). On the other hand, India ended up at 132/3 in their full quota of overs. England won the game by 202 runs.
2. 196 vs East Africa
Batting first, England posted a competitive total of 290 for the loss of five wickets in their quota of 60 overs in the 1975 World Cup in Birmingham. Dennis Amiss top-scored with 88 runs including seven fours whereas Barry Wood scored 77 runs. In reply, East Africa were bowled out for 94 runs. John Snow was the pick of the bowlers for England as he took 4 wickets to his name. England registered their second-biggest win in terms of runs as they won by 196 runs.
3. 160 vs Netherlands
England registered their third-biggest win in World Cups against the Netherlands cricket team in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Batting first, England posted 339/9 in their quota of 50 overs, courtesy of Ben Stokes’ 108. On the contrary, Netherlands were bowled out for 179 runs and lost the game by a huge margin. England won the game by 160 runs.
4. 150 vs Afghanistan
England’s fourth-biggest win in World Cups came against Afghanistan in the 2019 edition of the ICC ODI World Cup. Batting first, England posted a humongous total of 397/6 in their quota of 50 overs. Eoin Morgan played a captain’s knock by chipping in with 148 off 71 balls (4 fours and 17 sixes). In reply, Afghanistan ended up at 247/8 as Adil Rashid and Jofra Archer took 3 wickets for England. The Three Lions won the game by 150 runs.
5. 137 vs Bangladesh
Batting first, the England cricket team posted 364/9 in their quota of 50 overs. Dawid Malan top-scored with 140 whereas Joe Root scored 82 runs. On the other hand, Bangladesh were bowled out for 227 runs. Litton Das top-scored with 76 runs. Reece Topley was the pick of the bowlers for England as he registered 4/43. England registered their fifth-biggest win in World Cups as they won the game by 137 runs.
