4 Wicketkeepers with Most Sixes in ODI World Cups-compressed

Over the years, wicketkeepers made a name for themselves by ticking the boxes in the areas of batting and wicketkeeping. They unleashed their best performances in the World Cup tournaments. In this article, let’s learn more about the names of the four wicketkeepers who struck the most sixes in ODI World Cups.

1. Quinton de Kock

Quinton de Kock is one of the most aggressive wicketkeepers in the current era. The wicketkeeper-batsman who is playing in his last-ever ODI World Cup comes first on the list as he smacked the most sixes in ODI World Cups. Proteas’ international has smashed as many as 22 sixes to his lofty standards of punching and counter-punching techniques and has a great opportunity to increase his count.

2. Adam Gilchrist

Adam Gilchrist is widely regarded as one of the greatest wicketkeeper-batsmen in the history of the game. He was one of the integral parts of Australian cricket history wherein he delivered the goods as a batsman and wicketkeeper. He was well-known for playing attacking shots as an opener. Notably, he comes second on the list with 19 sixes during his ODI World Cup journey.

3. Mark Boucher

Mark Boucher is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest wicketkeeper-batsmen in the history of the game. The former South African wicketkeeper etched his name into the record books after he affected as many as 998 dismissals in international cricket, the most by a wicketkeeper. He comes third on the list as he struck 15 sixes in ODI World Cups.

4. MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni might not have broken the wicketkeeping records of Adam Gilchrist and Mark Boucher but he was known for his lightning-fast stumping. He was well-known for making judgements when taking DRS reviews. MS Dhoni has also struck as many as 15 sixes in ODI World Cups.
