Teams that conceded and smashed the most sixes in IPL 2023-compressed

Ever since the inception of the Indian Premier League, one thing that was always common – batters hitting sixes. In fact, the number of sixes hit by batters kept increasing season after season. Talking about IPL 2023 season, as many as 1066 sixes have been hit by batters so far.

The IPL 2023 season has witnessed the most sixes hit by the batters and the season is not over yet. The tournament is proceeding toward the playoffs and the batters are likely to express themselves in the finishing stages.

So far, Gujarat Titans, Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians qualified for the IPL 2023 playoffs by finishing first, second, third and fourth on the table respectively. In this article, let’s take a look at the teams that conceded and smashed the most sixes in IPL 2023.

1. MI conceded most sixes

Mumbai Indians are one of the teams that made it to the playoffs by finishing fourth on the IPL 2023 points table. They will lock horns with Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator clash on May 24, Wednesday at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.

Mumbai Indians led by Rohit Sharma hold the unwanted record of conceding the most sixes in the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. The five-time IPL champions came under fire for their pathetic bowling performances this season. MI conceded 127 sixes in IPL 2023.

2. MI and KKR smashed most sixes

Mumbai Indians might have conceded the most sixes in IPL 2023 but they have switched gears when it mattered the most by playing a fearless brand of cricket. Mumbai Indians hold the record for smashing the most sixes in the IPL – 125 sixes.

Notably, they are tied alongside Kolkata Knight Riders who have also scored the same number of sixes in the IPL. Mumbai Indians still have plenty of work to be done this season and they have a great opportunity to score some sixes to hold the record for scoring the most sixes this season.
