Virat Kohli is the only player in the history of the IPL who has won five Man of the Match awards in a single IPL season, a record that remains intact. He achieved the feat in IPL 2016 season when he scored a record 973 runs in a season.
2. Shubman Gill
Shubman Gill had a breakthrough season for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2023 season where he scored 890 runs and deservedly won the Orange Cap. He won four Man of the Match awards in the season.
3. Yashasvi Jaiswal
Yashasvi Jaiswal won the Emerging Player of the Season award for scoring 625 runs in IPL 2023. He won four Player of the Match awards in the season.

Yusuf Pathan who was one of the integral players of Rajasthan Royals in the inaugural title-winning season won 4 Player of the Match awards.
