3 Right-Arm Fast Bowlers who took Most Wickets as 'Bowled' in International Cricket-compressed

Right-arm fast bowlers play an important role in taking wickets for the team. They are known for their potential to generate searing speeds with the ball. When the delivery is so quick, the batsman gets less time to react, thus increasing the possibility of a mistake as well.

Right-arm pacers have plenty of tricks under their sleeve and they execute it whenever it matters the most. They consistently deliver accurate yorkers to trouble the batters. If they pitch in with well-directed yorkers, it would be very much tough for the batsmen to defend and end up getting bowled.

In this article, let us now go through the names of three right-arm fast bowlers who took the most wickets as ‘bowled’ in international cricket.

1. Waqar Younis

Pakistan’s bowling great Waqar Younis comes first on the list with a record 253 ‘bowled wickets’ in international cricket. Waqar Younis was one of the vital cogs of Pakistan’s bowling set-up during the heydays of his cricketing career.

He has taken as many as 373 wickets in the longest format of the game. On the other side of the coin, he has bagged as many as 416 wickets in One-Day Internationals.

On the other hand, he targeted stumps and yielded positive results wherein he took 197 wickets as ‘bowled’. He has taken 690 wickets in Tests, 269 wickets in ODIs and 18 wickets in T20Is.

3. Lasith Malinga

Sri Lanka’s bowling great Lasith Malinga is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest limited-overs bowlers of all time. He operated as a specialist death bowler and kept the batters in check in clutch situations.

He has taken 171 wickets as ‘bowled’ in international cricket. Lasith Malinga has taken 101 wickets in Tests, 338 wickets in ODIs and 107 wickets in Twenty20 Internationals.
