Mumbai Indians are the most successful team in the history of the IPL. They have made it to the finals on six occasions wherein they emerged victorious on five occasions so far. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians became a formidable force to be reckoned with.

The five-time IPL champions have done pretty well in the sixteenth edition of the IPL. Mumbai Indians ran through a terrible campaign in the IPL 2022 season where they ended up at the bottom of the points table.

Needless to say, they qualified for the playoffs in IPL 2023 season by finishing fourth on the table. They will take on Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator clash on May 24, Wednesday at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.

Now in this article, let’s take a look at the top 3 highest wicket-takers for Mumbai Indians in the IPL playoffs.

1. Harbhajan Singh

Harbhajan Singh has been one of the vital performers for Mumbai Indians during the playing days of his career. The Turbanator played 10 games in the playoffs for MI and took the joint-most wickets alongside Lasith Malinga. He took 14 wickets at an economy of 8.1. Overall, Harbhajan Singh took 150 wickets in the IPL. On the other hand, he took one four-wicket haul and one five-wicket haul in the IPL.

2. Lasith Malinga

Lasith Malinga was one of the formidable fast-bowling weapons for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. He has played 122 games in the IPL wherein he took 170 wickets to his name including six four-wicket hauls and one fifer. Malinga took 14 wickets in 14 games in the IPL playoffs for MI.

3. Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah holds the third spot for taking the most wickets for Mumbai Indians in the IPL playoffs. The right-arm fast bowler took 145 wickets in IPL at an impressive economy of 7.39. He took 2 four-wicket-hauls and one fifer. Just like Malinga, Bumrah is a death-over specialist wherein he took 11 wickets in eight games in the IPL playoffs for Mumbai Indians.
