1. Steve Smith
Australia’s best batter, Steve Smith has often let his performances do the talking while playing against Team India. His statistics tell us that he loves batting against India.
It is worth noting here that he played countless impactful knocks for the team when it mattered the most. Rightly so, he earned the tag of an “impact player”. Steve Smith comes first on the list as he has scored 14 centuries against India in international cricket, the most by any current player.
Steve Smith has completed 9000 runs in Test cricket recently in the second Test against England in the Ashes. On the other hand, he scored 4939 runs in One-Day Internationals whereas he scored 1008 runs in Twenty20 Internationals.

2. Joe Root
Former England Test captain Joe Root comes second on the list as he scored twelve centuries against Team India in international cricket, the second-most by any player of the current era.
Joe Root and Steve Smith are the only two batters of the present era with more than 10 international centuries against Team India. Meanwhile, Joe Root is the leading run-scorer in Test cricket among the active players with 11196 runs. On the other side of the coin, he scored 6207 runs in One-Day Internationals and 893 runs in Twenty20 Internationals.
