2 Current Players with Most International Centuries against a Team-compressed

It is no secret that the cricketers of the current era have developed a wider range of skills compared to the cricketers of the previous generations. Back in those days, cricketers used to play ODI and Test cricket. However, as the years progressed, we have seen the T20I format being played internationally as well.

As a result, today’s generation of cricketers needs to adapt themselves to three different formats – Test matches, One Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 (T20) cricket. It is worth mentioning here that Virat Kohli has by far been the best all-format batter of this era as he has well and truly dominated the proceedings with ease.

Meanwhile, in this article, let’s take a look at the two current players with the most international centuries against a team.

1. Virat Kohli

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli is widely regarded as the best all-format batsman of the current era. He is someone who perfectly assesses the conditions before dominating the proceedings.

Virat Kohli comes first on the list as he has scored the most centuries against three different teams in international cricket. India’s run machine scored 16 centuries against Australia, 15 centuries against Sri Lanka and 11 centuries against the West Indies.

Virat Kohli scored 12898 runs in ODIs, 8479 runs in Tests and 4008 runs in T20Is. He scored 28 centuries, 28 fifties and seven double centuries in Tests. On the other hand, he scored 46 centuries and 65 fifties in ODIs whereas he scored 1 century and 37 fifties in T20Is.

Steve Smith scored 9079 runs in Tests including 32 centuries, 4 double centuries and 37 fifties. On the other hand, he scored 4939 runs in ODIs including 12 centuries and 29 fifties whereas he scored 1008 runs in T20Is including 4 fifties.
