2 Indians who hammered the Most International Sixes at Home-compressed

India have always been a nation that has well and truly produced top-notch cricketers and history tells us that the majority of the players carved out a reputation for themselves by showcasing their mettle at the best scene. The ones who perform quite consistently for the team have gone on to become one of the best in the business.

Case in point, there are plenty of batters who smashed sixes in international cricket. Moreover, it gives a great deal of confidence for the batters to hit sixes at home. In this article, we will now go through the names of two Indians who hit the most international sixes at home.

1. Rohit Sharma 

Rohit Sharma is widely acknowledged as the greatest opening batsman of all time, courtesy of his impeccable contribution to Team India across all three formats of the game. Popularly known as Hitman for his incredible six-hitting abilities, Rohit Sharma has hammered as many as 262 sixes in international cricket at home, which is the most by an Indian batter.

Rohit Sharma is the only batsman in the history of the sport who smashed three double centuries in ODIs and four centuries in T20Is. Notably, he has smacked 77 sixes in Tests, 292 sixes in ODIs and 182 sixes in T20Is.

2. MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni is widely regarded as the best finisher in the world, without any second thoughts. Whenever he is on strike, he mounts immense pressure on the bowlers by smacking sixes and fours in clutch situations of the game. MS Dhoni is known for his ability to smack sixes with relative sixes during the heydays of his international career.

The former Indian captain comes second on the list as he hit as many as 186 international sixes at home. He smacked 78 sixes in Tests, 229 sixes in ODIs and 52 sixes in T20Is. MS Dhoni is also the most successful skipper in the history of Indian cricket. Under his captaincy, India won the ICC T20 World Cup 2007, ICC ODI World Cup 2011 and ICC Champions Trophy 2013, 2 Asia Cup titles and 2 ICC Test maze.
