2 New Zealand Batsmen who hit Most International Sixes at Home-compressed

New Zealand national cricket team are one of the top-tier teams in international cricket. The Black Caps have caused all sorts of trouble to the opposition teams. However, they haven’t made a serious bid for the ODI World Cup. They reached the final of the ICC ODI World Cup twice, in 2015 and 2019.

However, they lacked the cutting edge to win the title. have yet to win the title. They will be looking forward to doing well in the upcoming edition of the ICC ODI World Cup. New Zealand have a well-balanced team with a mix of experience and youth and should look to express themselves quite confidently.

New Zealand will kick-start their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign on October 5 as they will take on England in the tournament opener at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Case in point, let’s learn about the names of two cricketers from New Zealand who smacked the most international sixes at home.

1. Martin Guptill

Martin Guptill is one of the best openers in limited-overs cricket without a shadow of any doubt. The experienced campaigner is known for his ability to hit sixes with relative ease, courtesy of his hard-hitting abilities. Notably, he has hit as many as 257 sixes in international cricket at home, the most by a New Zealand batsman.

He scored 7346 runs in ODIs, 2586 runs in Tests and 3531 runs in T20Is. On the other hand, he smacked 23 sixes in Tests, 187 sixes in ODIs and 173 sixes in Twenty20 Internationals.

2. Brendon McCullum

Brendon McCullum was one of the integral parts of the New Zealand cricket history. The Black Caps immensely benefitted from the batsman’s services across all three formats of the game. He comes second on the list as he smacked as many as 230 international sixes at home.

Brendon McCullum scored 6453 runs in Tests, 6083 runs in ODIs and 2140 runs in T20Is. Notably, he struck 107 sixes in Tests, 200 sixes in ODIs and 91 sixes in T20Is.
