2 Players who will be the standout performers for India in the upcoming World Test Championship Final-compressed

Team India will cross swords with the Australian cricket team in the second edition of the ICC World Test Championship final. The highly-anticipated encounter will go all guns blazing at The Kennington Oval in London on June 7.

The Indian players have already arrived in England and are currently prepping for the ultimate challenge. It will be quite interesting to see which team makes use of the resources to better effect and win the ICC WTC final.

To win the battle, it is important for some players to turn up the ante and deliver the goods when it really matters the most. We expect two players to be the standout performers for India in the upcoming WTC final.

1. Cheteshwar Pujara

Cheteshwar Pujara is India’s Test specialist and all eyes will be on him during the WTC Final against Australia. Moreover, he is also an experienced cricketer in the longest format of the game. The 35-year-old has been a thorn in the Indian batting set-up a lot in the past.

Pujara has been playing County cricket of late and he should be pretty much confident of going about his business against the Aussies. On top of that, the Oval wicket will potentially be quite similar to an Australian pitch. If the Aussies don’t get him early, they will pay the price.

2. Mohammed Shami

Mohammed Shami is one of the players to watch out for in the upcoming clash against Australia in the ICC WTC Final. The right-arm paceman will bring a lot of experience to the table, given that he adds a new dimension to the pace-bowling attack.

Shami has taken 40 wickets against Australia and 38 wickets in the English conditions. India will rely on this red-ball specialist to weave the magic with the ball. He is best known for his accuracy and aptitude to move the ball around both ways and his expertise with reverse swing.
