3 Players who were part of 50 Test wins for India-compressed

Test cricket is the purest format of the game because of the fact that it is well and truly challenging in all facets. The red ball used in this format is tougher than the white ball used in limited-overs cricket. The batters often find it literally tough to face the red ball when compared to the white ball because the red ball generates a great deal of swing and turn, making it tougher for the batters to face it in the initial stages.

When a team is playing a Test match, three possibilities are expected – win, loss and draw. In rare cases, when the game is abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rain, then it yields no result. Winning a Test match is not that easy because it requires the collective efforts of the players to get the desirable results.

India have always been a nation that has performed extensively well in the longest format of the game. In this listicle, let’s take a glimpse at the five Indians with 50-plus Test wins.

1. Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar has achieved a plethora of records both in Tests and ODIs. Widely acknowledged as the greatest batsman of all time, Sachin comes first on the list as he has been a part of most Test wins for India. Sachin Tendulkar, who is the leading run-scorer in Tests has been involved in a record 72 Test wins for Team India.
