Age is just a number in the game of cricket but if a cricketer is older, it means he holds a truckload of experience under his belt. Having an experienced campaigner in the team is always an added advantage as he would help the team add flesh to the team’s scoreboard either by batting or bowling.

1. Rohit Sharma
Indian captain Rohit Sharma comes first on the list as he earned two Player of the Match awards after turning 36 years in World Cup history. He achieved two Man of the Match awards in the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023. He is the only cricketer in the history of the sport with as many as seven ODI World Cups. Moreover, he is the only cricketer who scored five centuries in a single edition of the World Cup (2015).

4. Farokh Engineer
Farokh Engineer who played 46 Tests and 5 ODIs for India between 1961 and 1975 has won one Player of the Match award after turning 36 in the Cricket World Cups.
