1. Rohit Sharma
Indian captain Rohit Sharma comes first on the list as he earned two Player of the Match awards after turning 36 years in World Cup history. He achieved two Man of the Match awards in the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023. He is the only cricketer in the history of the sport with as many as seven ODI World Cups. Moreover, he is the only cricketer who scored five centuries in a single edition of the World Cup (2015).
2. Sachin Tendulkar
Sachin Tendulkar is widely acknowledged as the greatest batsman in the history of the sport. India’s batting great is the leading run-scorer in ICC World Cups with over 2000 runs to his name. He comes next on the list as he earned one Player of the Match award in the World Cup after turning 36.
3. Sunil Gavaskar
Sunil Gavaskar was one of the important players in the history of Indian cricket. India’s batting great who played several impactful knocks for the team during the playing days of his career has won one Player of the Match award after turning 36 in Cricket World Cup.
4. Farokh Engineer
Farokh Engineer who played 46 Tests and 5 ODIs for India between 1961 and 1975 has won one Player of the Match award after turning 36 in the Cricket World Cups.
